Dashboards

The Dashboards feature displays visualizations of sensor data and the output from predictive machine learning models.

Use the Dashboards feature to monitor the performance of your industrial assets in real-time.

Getting There

Access Arundo Fabric and select Dashboards on the Navigation bar.


Dashboards Manager

The Dashboards Manager displays when you select Dashboards on the Navigation bar. Use the Dashboards Manager to build new dashboards or manage existing dashboards.

Dashboards Manager

You can build dashboards for personal use or for company-wide use, giving you flexibility to control their usage.

Dashboard Lists

There are two dashboard lists on the Dashboards Manager:

My Dashboards

Displays dashboards that you have built. The Shared indicator (shown below) lets you know whether a dashboard is shared with other users.

Other Shared Dashboards

Displays dashboards shared by other users.

Dashboard Statuses

There are two possible statuses for a dashboard:

Status Description
Draft Dashboard isn't visible to other users
Shared Dashboard is visible to other users

Tips

  • To change a dashboard to Shared status, click Draft next to the dashboard.
  • To change a dashboard to Draft status, click Shared next to the dashboard.

Dashboards Builder

The Dashboards Builder displays when you select Create Dashboard on the Dashboards Manager. Use the Dashboards Builder to create new dashboards.

Dashboards Builder

The panels on a dashboard display visualizations of the data output through specified tags.

Note

You can change the panels to display output values as a decimal value (KPI), gauge, time series graph, text, or table.


Dashboards Viewer

The Dashboards Viewer displays when you:

  • Select Preview next to a dashboard on the Dashboards Manager.
  • Select Open this dashboard in View Mode on the Dashboards Builder.

Use the Dashboard Viewer to monitor industrial assets currently in operation.

Step-by-Step Guides

The following guides explain how to build, manage, and view dashboards.

Building a Dashboard

Complete the following to build a new dashboard.

  1. Click Create Dashboard.
  2. Click the dashboard name and enter a name for the dashboard.
  3. Click Save Changes.
  4. Click New in the bottom right corner of the page.
  5. Under Panel Name, enter a name for a panel you want to display on the dashboard.
  6. Under Select a Panel Type, select a display format for the panel.
  7. Under Define Source, select the tag for which to display data on the panel.
  8. Adjust the Units, Precision, and Limits & Colors as necessary.
  9. Repeat Steps 4-8 to add additional panels as necessary.
  10. Adjust the size and position of the panels:

    • Drag and drop panels into the desired positions.
    • Drag the bottom right corner of a panel to adjust the size.
  11. Click Save Changes.

  12. Click Open this dashboard in View Mode under the dashboard name.

  13. Using the preview as a guide, adjust the dashboard as necessary.

  14. (Optional) Share the dashboard with other users:

    • Click Dashboards in the top left corner of the page.
    • Click Draft next to the dashboard.
Viewing a Dashboard

There are two ways to view a dashboard depending on what page you are currently viewing.

Dashboards Manager

  1. Click Delete next to the dashboard.
  2. Click Confirm.

Dashboards Builder

  1. Click the Wrench icon and select Delete Dashboard.
  2. Click Confirm.
Cloning a Dashboard

Complete the following to build a new dashboard by cloning an existing dashboard.

  1. Click the name of the dashboard you want to clone.
  2. Click the Wrench icon and select Clone Dashboard.
  3. Click the dashboard name and enter a new name for the dashboard.
  4. Click Save Changes.
  5. Adjust the dashboard as necessary.
Sharing a Dashboard

When you build a dashboard, it is only visible to you. Complete the following to make a dashboard visible to other users.

  1. Click Draft next to the dashboard you want to share.

    The Shared indicator now displays next to the dashboard name.

    Users can now access the dashboard from the Shared Dashboards list on the Dashboards Manager.

    Tip

    To prevent other users from viewing the dashboard, click Shared next to the dashboard.

Adding a Panel to a Dashboard

Complete the following to add a new panel to a dashboard.

  1. Click the name of the dashboard you want to clone.
  2. Click New in the bottom right corner of the page.
  3. Under Panel Name, enter a name for a panel you want to display on the dashboard.
  4. Under Select a Panel Type, select a display format for the panel.
  5. Under Define Source, select the tag for which to display data on the panel.
  6. Adjust the Units, Precision, and Limits & Colors as necessary.
  7. Adjust the size and position of the panel:

    • Drag and drop panels into the desired positions.
    • Drag the bottom right corner of a panel to adjust the size.
  8. Click Save Changes.

  9. Click Open this dashboard in View Mode under the dashboard name.

  10. Using the preview as a guide, adjust the dashboard as necessary.

Cloning a Panel on a Dashboard

Complete the following to add a new panel to a dashboard by cloning an existing panel.

  1. Click the name of the dashboard.
  2. Select the panel you want to clone.
  3. Click Clone in the bottom right corner of the page.

    A new panel displays on the dashboard.

  4. Select the panel.

  5. Adjust the panel settings as necessary.
  6. Click Save Changes.
Updating a Panel

Complete the following to update a panel on a dashboard.

  1. Click the name of the dashboard.
  2. Select the panel you want to update.
  3. Adjust the panel settings as necessary.
  4. Click Save Changes.
Deleting a Panel

Complete the following to remove a panel from a dashboard.

  1. Click the name of the dashboard.
  2. Select the panel you want to delete.
  3. Click Delete in the bottom right corner of the page.
